Replay Mod Forums

The Replay Mod was fine for a couple of weeks, then it starts to crash. I have already made a few videos just fine and then one day I can`t do anything with the Replay Mod.
-The only Mod I have is the Replay Mod.
-I have the correct version.
-One day it just quits.
-Do I need to download a newer version?
-This is a Emergency!
-It crashes at random times.
-Yes I have a Good Computer.
-I need to make a video soon, and I need this mod to work.

My graphic driver is all updated, it should be fine. But I still keep getting the crashes. I`m not entirely sure , but is it a BUG?

-I have a new Laptop. So the everything should be up to date.

Would Java make a deference, do I need to get a new version of Java? Or do I need to re-download the Replay Mod?
-I`m able to play minecraft just fine without the Replay Mod in the mods folder. Is it the Replay Mod?

According to this bug in Mojang's bug tracker and this question on StackOverflow, Intel is not going to fix those old drivers. (I'm not entirely sure that's the same problem as you shouldn't be able to play 1.8 Minecraft at all according to that bug)

If it's the same issue, your only options are: Buy a new computer or graphics card (latter is not really possible with a laptop) or run Linux (the free Intel drivers on Linux do not have that bug).
I guess none of those is really an option for you.

But I have a new Laptop... Everything is fine, updated and Not broken! My driver is all right.
I was using the Replay Mod just fine, until one day it just stops working.

No need to return your laptop unless some part of its hardware is broken.

- What laptop you use is irrelevant. The graphics card drivers are important here.
- Yes, you have the latest drivers. Those are broken. Intel won't fix those drivers (probably because they no longer produce those graphic cards). It's the same with Windows XP: you might have the most recent version, but it's still old and contains lots of bugs. And those won't be fixed any more.
- What ever driver / hardware you have. The error you posted is a JVM crash. Under no circumstances is it the job of the person writing the java code to fix it. It might be the responsibility of the person you got your java from (e.g. Oracle) or of the vendor of the driver that caused it.
- Here it is neither the java developer (we) nor the person you got your java from (Oracle) but the one of the vendor of your driver (I guess that's Intel for you). And because their driver is probably proprietary (no one is allowed to change their driver), they are the only ones that are able to fix it.
- Did I mention, Intel has no intention of fixing it?
- If it worked before, then you updated windows and now it no longer works, then something probably changed that broke your driver (yeah, thanks Microsoft) (or at least that part that's required for the ReplayMod to work). It is still up to your graphic card vendor to fix it.
- If you want to do something, send the jvm crash log (the one in C:\Users\jacob\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\hs_err_pid18020.log) to Intel (assuming that's whom you got your driver from) and complain to them.
- Just to be sure this is clear: We cannot fix crashes caused by your driver. All we can do is give you hints on what might fix it (update driver, etc.; but those are not applicable to you) and send you elsewhere.
