Hello there! I've been trying to figure this out myself for a week or so now, and I'm stumped.

Whenever I have the Replay Mod installed, I cannot see players (including myself), mobs, and any type of chest while I am playing, in the replay viewer, or after rendering the replay.

I have everything the way it is recommended (VBOs on, the forge version recommended, no texture packs installed, no other mods installed) and I've tried changing various video settings with no results.

Here's some video of what I mean:

    Spoiler: Video

I've seen some other threads that have a similar issue, but not to the extent that I'm experiencing. Most of them can't see certain things after taking damage / potion effects, but mobs and players are just not visible at any time and never have been.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated! Thanks for reading!

    Hello Exil3Lord,

First of all thank you for your very detailed bug report! It's nice that you had a look in other Threads before creating a new one :)
Could you please tell us which exact Forge Version you're using, and also upload the Replay File (.mcpr) to the Replay Center so we can test if we can recreate the problem?

Quote @User26: "There was a guy saying he has no mods too, he found out that his launcher somehow was loading mods every time he started a game" - Can you assure that this doesn't happen to you and you're using a clean Forge JAR (i.e. not modded with Optifine?)

    Thanks in advance,
    CrushedPixel

    Spoiler: Reply

    Hello CrushedPixel,

I'm using forge version 11.14.3.1450 for the replay mod. I also have tried it on 11.14.4.1563 but that didn't help.

Uploading replay now, and as for trying the clean forge, I'll do it as soon as I can and post again once I do. In a bit of a rush at the moment.

    Thanks for the response!

I have just downloaded the Replay from the Replay Center, and with ReplayMod Version 1.0.6 and Forge 11.14.0.0 (which is a quite old version tbh) it looks all right to me.

Can you please try with the same setup as well?

Awesome! That version worked for me.
I went back to see if it was something I did while clearing files, but the updated versions of forge still didn't work.

I'm perfectly fine using an older version of forge, so my problem is solved. If you need anything else to help you see exactly what is causing this problem, I'll gladly give you any files you want to look at.

    Thank you!

Edit: I'll go ahead and try a clean forge still. Will update in a bit
Edit2: Still, forge 11.14.3.1450 did not work, even with everything basically reset

So you're saying that it works with an old Forge version but not with newer ones? Hell, LexManos always finds a way to fuck things up .__.
