When moving in time or trying to play the camera path its loading very slow, sometimes forever. I am playing with optifine, the latest version for 1.8.

The recommended version of Optifine is:
    Optifine 1.8.0 HD U D5
When you say it's loading slow, do you mean the camera path is moving slowly? If so, it could either be a result of the time keyframes that you have set. Alternatively check the replay speed

How long is your replay? Are you moving forwards or backwards in time?
You can't really jump in time. The mod has to replay all packets sent between your current time and the targeted time. That's why there might be some loading time.

If you're working with only one small bit of your replay you can trim it using the replay editor (experimental). That way jumping should be faster than when you have to jump through 30 mins of gameplay.

We plan to include seamless replay trimming (trimming the replay every time you jump without touching the original file and without the user noticing) in a future release which will speed up time jumps as well. However we can't give an eta for that.

    PLEASEEEE
It's better to just go to 8x rather than jump. I'm trying to edit a replay that's 90 minutes long, and even if I'm at 40, and try to skip to like 43 it freezes for 30 seconds and a bunch of sped up sounds play while it leaves me in a dirt screen (which I can't even get out of fullscreen during)

No, it's not better because that's what jumping does. Except without any speed limitations and without rendering it.

If you jump forward in time it does not matter how long your replay is as it just plays the next 3 minutes. If you were to jump backwards from 45 to 43 then, yes, it will take some time as it has to play all 43 minutes of gameplay before the replay. If you are editing a 90 minutes long replay at minute 40 - 50, do yourself a favor and use the Replay Editor to remove the rest.

    1. For short times in a big replay yes
    2. Yeah just figured that out now

Jumping is actually slower than just fast-forwarding if you jump up to 20ms, anything above that it is equally fast or faster than fast-forwarding.

Edit: It seems to have trimmed 40 minutes from the end when I filled the top left box in the editor with 40 (not 40 min from the start), and also view bobbing is disabled in FP replays?

    Ah
I really want to be able to use the replay mod to record GUI's and such :/

That's currently not within the scope of this project. For more info see this thread.
