    I AM USING A MAC!!! I have just got ReplayMod for my YouTube channel, and I have done a test recording, I did the keyframes and the timeframes, but when I went to render it it said I needed to download FFmpeg, so I did, I put it in my mods folder first and after that didn't work I tried my put it in my minecraft folder. It didn't work yet again. I have tried removing all mods but replay, and also restarting my game. I have pre-read the forums but none would really help me.

    Thank you for helping

    Nate

    Did you even read the docs? FFmpeg is not a Mod...

    I know it isn't a mod, but I tried there anyways. I have looked through the docs I've also tried HomeBrew but it still doesn't work.

    Well, did you install Homebrew first?

    Yes I have but it still isn't working... I can get it to work up to the point right before it renders, then it shows a red screen saying To render a video you must install FFmpeg or something like that.

    1. Open up terminal
    2. Paste in the following:

    open /usr/local/bin/

    3. Press enter (a folder interface should pop up)
    4. Drag the ffmpeg file (notice how I didn't say folder or zip file) in that directory.

    If however, you get the message: "The file usr/local/bin does not exist." If you are certain, you have installed the brew file correctly, recreate the path.

    It says no such file or directory When I try and do the second step. But I don't know what you mean by recreate the path, I'm not great with coding like that.

    Do you have the "Local" folder ('/usr/local/) inside the "usr" folder?

    Does your directory look something like this?

    If you do not have all the contents in the local folder (if at all), you must haven't installed Homebrew correctly, so I recommend you try to reinstall the process (guidance can be found in the docs), and then attempt to place the "ffmpeg" file in its correct path.

    To further help you, I could contact you through skype or ts3, anything really to see if I could assist you further in any way, or you can just wait for CrushedPixel to come back with a response.

    I have tried re installing Homebrew but I can get up to this point but then it won't let me type in my password, or anything in fact. ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
    ==> This script will install:
    /usr/local/bin/brew
    /usr/local/Library/...
    /usr/local/share/man/man1/brew.1

    Press RETURN to continue or any other key to abort
    ==> /usr/bin/sudo /bin/mkdir /usr/local

    We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
    Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

    #1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
    #3) With great power comes great responsibility.

    When typing in your password into terminal, they do not show any sign of you inserting your password, so just type in your Administrative password, press enter and it should have detected your typing, therefore installing homebrew onto your local directory.

    You drag it into the folder which pops up after you execute the command 'open /usr/local/bin/" on terminal.

    Just giving you a heads up, make sure the file you insert into that folder is this file (click to directly download it).

    This is good, this is very good.
    All you need to do now is to enter /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg in the left input box on the "Command Line Settings" page of the Render Settings screen.
