I would really like the ability to cancel an in-progress replay save if I feel that I won't need it in the future. I don't want to just turn off recording globally, because I'll end up needing it and forgetting to turn it back on, so if I can decide to "cancel" the saving of a replay that will help cut down on the clutter in my saved replays list.

It would also be wonderful to be able to set a per-world/server option to just never record a replay for that world/server. I never need replays of my test world, but I end up having to go through and delete them from my replays list to make easier to find the replays I do need.

Note sure about aborting a replay as you can just delete it after exiting the world/server with just 4 clicks if you don't want it.
A per world/server option is probably more useful, I've added it to the suggestions.

One reason to abort/cancel the save would be to save time. Sometimes I end up spending a couple/few hours on a server doing mindless prep for an LP episode, it can take a very long time for that replay file to save when I leave the server. If I could just cancel the save, not only would I not have to remember to delete the replay, I also wouldn't have to wait for it to save, just to end up deleting it. That would also save my HDD from wasting effort on the save/delete process.

True, and not to mention that it takes up to a minute for the replay viewer to load the replays to the last one (if you have it running 24/7)
