[Clarification] Why don't shaders work?

I understand that you can't render with shaders, the thing I do not understand is why. Was this a decision? (If so why, because that seriously prevents 90% of uses for a mod like this [cinematic]), or is it because of a technical limitation?

I was hoping to be able to use this mod for cinematic videos, and not just bland ones. If you look at almost all cinematics regarding large building projects, almost all videos use shaders to make the video more appealing. The problem is that shaders typically slow down your computer, making you have to record in a lower FPS and then speed the clip up, which is extremely noticeable watching entity motions or animated textures. Having that ability to render cinematic videos beyond your typical resolution on your computer is also a major advantage, which is something that Replay Mod allows you to do, and does very well.

Is there plans to at some point add support for shaders (even if far in the future)?

This was not a decision, and we definitely have Shader Support on our Todo list, no ETA on that though.

The reason why rendering isn't compatible with Shaders so far is because of the way rendering works - we're basically breaking down the vanilla rendering to the relevant parts only, and also modify it to force load all chunks etc. Because the Shaders mod heavily modifies the way that rendering works, we first need to investigate what exactly the Shader mod changes and how we can adapt to these changes to add compatibility.

I hope I could clear some things up for you :)

Compatibility with Shader Mod and Optifine.
Oh wait, I "could" actually add that. But it's so difficult :S

How did you first hear about the Replay Mod?

If you're asking me that, your reply sounds fairly sarcastic. If you're telling me to read documentation, I have, I've read everything I could find the last week. I heard about the ReplayMod from CrushedPixel's forum thread for PixelCam, where he said he wouldn't be working on third person mode there because that feature was already obtainable in a mod he was working on called ReplayMod.

Yes @User1, you cleared some thing s up, thank you.

No need to worry. That's just a quote from an answer-the-previous-question-ask-a-new-one thread.

Haha, he didn't mean it like this - the quote is from this thread, and blame me for not being able to partially quote :D
