I was wondering where does the recording get stored when you are recording in game. Does it get stored as temp data on the %appdata% minecraft folder somewhere or does it save this data to where the output of the video will be in the end?

Only wondering as haven't seen a option to change it outside where the recording saves after render and wa wondering on file size issues as my main drive is small but other drives are huge

By default, the replay recordings are saved as .mcpr files in the replay_recordings folder in your .minecraft directory.

You can however change this by modifying the replaymod.config file in Forge's config folder in the .minecraft directory. Make sure to enter a valid path though, and that you have enough free space on your disk, the use of this feature is at your own risk.
