3D models as objects?

I'm not sure if this could work, but I think it would be *really* nice if you could import some file types for 3D models (.obj, .stl, etc.) into the replay viewer as objects! This would be great for making the objects look more like they are part of the world. If nothing else, I think it would also be great if the picture files could be rendered like items in minecraft, where they have a pixel of thickness in the Z axis. I think that would be really great, but again, I'm not sure if it is even possible. Just throwing it out there!

Importing of some type of .obj is planned however has rather low priority.

Really really really love that pixel thickness idea, it would make graphics look so immensely better!

I've had a look at this a while ago, but Minecraft's rendering system has changed since 1.7, when it used to be pretty simple to do that kind of stuff with custom .obj's. This has a low priority now.
