Atm we focus on fixing bugs. Once most of those are fixed, we'll add additional feature which were requested and compatibility with mods.

You can't simply generalize mods into two groups, compatibility is a thing which we have to create on a per mod basis. We do have a list of mod compatibility here which we will eventually work on (in same order they're presented).
Depending on how popular and whether source code is available, mods are ranked higher or lower.
If you've got any mod which you'd like to request compatibility for just request it and we'll add it to the list.
