when i play minecraft, my game
crashes sometimes (not because the render mod) when I open minecraft, the replay asks if I want to recover the reply and I say yes. When I go into the reply folder, it says that my replay is 00:00 s long and I can not open it.

I have saved the replay both before and after I recovered it but I can't figure out how to post them.

Please post the contents of the fml-client-latest.log file inside the logs folder inside your .minecraft folder to some pastebin site and link to the post here.

Note that this log will only contain information on the last time you started Minecraft, not any previous runs.
So, do that after trying to recover the replay. That log may already contain enough info for us to fix the recovery issue.

I've put it in now, but I've also tried to fix the problem myself (it did not work) but now I've also made a new replay since. if it has any effect.

That log doesn't mention anything about the recovery process.
Just to be sure: You did get the recovery GUI and accepted the recovery right before taking the log file, right?
Also have a look into the not-yet-recovered folder you saved and look at the file size of the "recording.tmcpr" file. If it's less than a few MBs, then there's nothing to recover and that would be the reason it's failing.

    it is 136 mb.

After I had recovered the replay I made another one to test something. so that's probably why there's no mention of thr recovering. I can make a new one and make it crash. and then send it to you

for me it looks the same. but is't it nominal for this kind of thing

Hmm.. if it's nowhere to be seen in the log, then the mod is probably under the impression that everything has went well.
Please upload the not-yet-recovered replay to some file sharing site and link to it so I can try to reproduce/debug it on my system.

Will there be any problems if I make another replay in the meantime?
