Hello!

Because of a project I am working on, I have decided to try one of the older replay mod versions, because the asset/object feature would save me a lot of time. However, I can't get it to work. The game loads properly, and I can record. It's first when I press the "Add" button in the Asset Manager things fall apart. When I press the button, the game instantly crashes. I have tried looking online and through this forum for a fix, but all I can find is a really old thread reporting it without any replies. Do you have any tips on how I can fix this?

I'd also like to add that I love the mod and that it has really saved me a lot of work. Thanks!

Here are some technical details:
OS: Windows 10
Mod version: 1.0.8 (also tried with 1.0.7)
Forge version: 1.8-11.14.4.1563
Other mods installed: None

Spoiler: Log

The forum has a character limit and cut off the log. Try posting it to https://paste.replaymod.com/ and linking to the post instead.

There's no sign of any crash in that log. Could you grab the crash report right from when it crashes?

Uhm, yeah, the new launcher. I've never used it and can't stand it just from the fact that it no longer shows people the actual crash report.
You'll have to figure out how to get your hands on the report by yourself. Without it, I can't do much more than guessing. And I have no clue what the problem is.

Thanks. I'll play around with it a bit more tomorrow. If I get it to work, or find any new information, I will post it here, in case anyone looks for a solution in the future.

That's a crash in some native code. Chances are low we can do anything about it. Make sure your drivers and Java Installation are up-to-date.

Looks very much like this bug which has been fixed in Java 8u141 almost one year ago.

Oh, right, the Minecraft Launcher (both, the new one and the old new one) include their own bundled (old) version of Java.
You'll have to get the launcher to use your (up-to-date) system installation of Java instead of its own bundled one. I can't tell you how to do that though since I'm not on Windows.

Thanks. I've updated java and tried to change the minecraft java to the one I installed, but the bug is still there. I will keep trying. If I find anything new, I will keep this thread updated.

Slightly off topic, but is there any way to contribute to the project with a small donation? I really like the mod, and I'm really happy with the quick response times and help here :)

EDIT: Got it to work (messed up the minecraft java switch), but there still seem to be a couple problems. Updating this.

If you wish to support the ReplayMod, you can get something from https://www.replaymod.com/store, that'll keep the servers running.

If you've got any other issues, please do create a new post (or even better, a new thread, to keep things ordered). If you merely edit your previous post, I'm not getting any notification for it and will probably miss it.

After restarting the game a couple times, I got it to work. Thanks for the help (one of the best customer supports I've seen for something run by this few people, good job!). I'll have a look at the store and might buy something to support the project.
