    Java 8
    MC 1.10.2
    Forge 12.18.3.2215
    Sky Factory 3 on Curse

For the first few weeks, it worked great, and then it didn't. I'm aware that there may be no support for Replay in a pack with this many mods, but I was hoping someone might know an easy fix, or spot a stupid mistake I might have made updating or reinstalling. There's no crash, but when I try to look at the replay that failed to record, and then quit the game, the launcher hangs and I have to kill it with the program manager. Has anyone else experienced this and gotten it to work? Are there any other logs that would be helpful?

If you've recently been updating SF3 from 3.0.4 (or older) to a more recent version then your problem is probably the same one as in this thread:

Okay cool cool I will try that, but Johni and CrushedPixel, if you could see why the released version of SkyFactory 3 does not work with the Replay Mod, that would be great.

I've had a closer look at it.
The error causing recording to fail is caused by the Surge mod and has been fixed four days ago. However no new Surge version has been released since then.
So for now, until a new Surge version is released, your options are:
    - Downgrade the mod pack to 3.0.4 (which is where I've been playing, works great but is probably overkill)
    - Downgrade Surge to the version used in 3.0.4 (that is Surge-1.10.2-1.1.0.61)
    - Build a newer Surge version yourself (this is probably not an option unless you're familiar with modding yourself)
    - Just remove Surge altogether for now. It's a mod that might improve your performance, so no noticeable content will be lost.

    Edit:
I checked the Surge downloads again and there now seems to be a newer version available. Instead of downgrading, manually upgrading it might work as well now (haven't tested that though). The newer Surge version will probably also be included in some future SF3 version.

If none of the above solves your problem, the full game log will contain the exception that caused the recording to fail.

You, sir or ma'am, are awesome! Updating Surge to the latest version(1.10.2-1.1.0.68) restored full functionality to Replay!

If I might make one other suggestion, if one could change the output directory for the rendered video without changing the video filename(Date&time), it would be marvelous.

Either way, your suggestion worked and I can use your fantastic mod again.

If changing the default output directory is what you want, you can do so by modifying the renderPath setting in .minecraft/config/replaymod.cfg.
