    Note: I'm running on a Mac (10.9.5)

I've read through all the instructions back and forwards, twice, yet my videos won't render. I tried the command line thing, and it didn't work. I've reinstalled ffmpeg multiple times, deleted it again and again to keep trying. I reinstalled Minecraft, I reinstalled Forge (I'm running build 11.14.1.1402 for 1.8.0) I've reinstalled the mod, but it doesn't detect the FFmpeg I have.

I installed FFmpeg using the homebrew method, and it didn't take it to the /usr/local/bin folder. Instead, it created a new one, /usr/local/Cellar.

My next question is, when i download it from their site, it downloads as a .tar.bz2 file. Is this what they mean by "the ffmpeg executable"? I'm new to Macs, and it might not have been necessary to do this, but I ran the file after it had downloaded. That's when the /Cellar folder was created, and there were multiple files and folders in there, none of which I could identify as an executable.

I am new to my Mac, so I might have done something horrifically wrong, or might have missed a file I should have deleted.

Can anyone identify what I've done wrong, and walk me through the process of reinstalling/running FFmpeg with the mod on my Mac?

    Any help is appreciated
    Sv

You have to download the static .7z on http://ffmpeg.org.
Extract this and there should be an executable file called ffmpeg
    Drag this file into /usr/local/bin/

When rendering a video, click first on Advanced Settings, then on Command Line Settings. In the left box it says ffmpeg. Change this to /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg and it should work :)
