I don't know about the visibility of entities in general, but I have enabled the render invisible entities settings.
If you load the replay, it either takes a long time for the player to load in or it doesn't at all. And if it doesn't show up in the editor, it also doesn't show up when you go render the video.

If you're getting this problem, please reply to this thread.

I have experienced this problem. It pops up at random times, and is very annoying. The solution (most of the time) is just to reload the replay.
